About Us

Based in Old Trafford, Limelight Health & Well-being Hub is a larger GP surgery offering NHS primary care services to patients living in M15 & M16 postcodes.

In 2018 our GP surgery, known then as Brooks Bar Medical Centre, and its team moved from an old building located on Chorlton Road to a new location on St Brides Way off Shrewsbury Street.

The new location sits on the first floor of a purpose-built community centre called Limelight.

The practice name was changed to reflect our new location and our ambition to extend this great space to the community, by inviting other community services the opportunity to share this space for the convenience of our patient and the community as a whole.

Keeping up the tradition

It’s a tradition for NHS GP practices to be registered under their contract holders name, in our case that’s Dr Louise Nzinga Grant, but also more commonly the location name is used to identify the practice to the community, we’re keeping with that tradition by using the location name of Limelight.

Dr. Louise Grant

People can find out more about the name change by visiting our website or by asking a member of the receptionist team.

North Trafford Primary Care Network (PCN)

PCNs are groups of GP practices working closely together, to provide integrated services to the local population. The practice is part of the North Trafford PCN, which is made up of four practices:

  • Limelight Health & Well-being Hub
  • Lostock Medical Centre
  • The Delamere Medical Practice
  • North Trafford Group Practice

We aim to offer the best possible medical care and highest quality of service that is efficient, courteous and without discrimination.

We will treat every patient with equal respect, irrespective of age, gender, religion, race, sexuality or social status.

Part of the NHS Family

Like other surgeries, we are part of the NHS family, providing NHS primary care services to NHS patients under contract to NHS England. We are in the area of the Trafford locality of Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board, which oversees health services over all of the ten localities in Greater Manchester. We work with these organisations to ensure that the services we offer are of a high standard.

A Training Practice

We are an accredited training practice, educating the healthcare professionals of the future.

Listening to our Patients

We very much value the views of our patients, you can complete our online Friends and Family Test, this helps us to find out what our patients think of our service. We also carry out occasional other surveys on specific issues. If you are asked to complete a form we hope you will take the time to share your honest opinions with us, as this will help us to learn about what we can do better. We also encourage our patients to submit comments and ideas for improvements via gmicb-tr.limelight.feedback@nhs.net

Breast Feeding and Baby Changing

If you would like to breast feed in private please let us know. We will find a room if one is available for you. The Health Centre also provides baby changing facilities in the disabled toilet.

Private Confidential Conversations

If you need to speak to a member of staff in confidence please do let reception know. We will find a quiet space away from the waiting room which will enable you to speak in confidence.
